Privacy
Who sees your answers, what we store, and how to ask for help with your data.
Who is asking
Askhole is operated under the Ziblo name, an independent studio. For service privacy questions, email support@askhole.app.
The person who creates a form chooses its questions, who to invite and how to use the responses. They can read and export your answers and use AI analysis. Their own privacy information should explain that use. Contact them about a response; contact us if you need help reaching them.
What we collect and why
- Creator accounts: email, profile and preferences, forms, plan and usage records. We use these to sign you in, save your work and enforce service limits.
- Form responses: answers, submission time and an email when the form collects one. An invitation can link a response to the invited address. We store this so the creator can receive and work with responses.
- AI interviews: messages and captured answers, progress and a browser session identifier. These support the conversation and let you resume it.
- Operational records: request identifiers, access and abuse controls, errors and AI usage measurements. These help operate the service, prevent misuse and account for consumption.
- Contact and waitlist requests: the information you provide, your account and plan interest where applicable. We use it to respond or record interest in paid plans.
You do not need an Askhole account to answer a public form. Required questions and any email requirement are shown in the form.
AI and service providers
Generating questions sends the creator’s instructions to an AI provider. AI interviews send your replies, and analysis sends relevant form answers. AI output can contain mistakes; creators should review it before acting on it.
Vercel hosts the website and routes AI requests through AI Gateway to the configured model provider, currently OpenAI by default. Convex stores application data and handles creator authentication. AWS SES delivers service emails. PostHog provides configured product analytics.
Those providers may process data in different countries. Contact us for information about the providers and handling relevant to your request. We do not sell your answers.
Cookies and browser storage
Sign-in and protected forms use necessary cookies. Form drafts may be saved in this tab so a refresh can preserve your answers. An AI interview uses a private session cookie to resume the conversation.
Respondent analytics use cookieless measurement of views, starts and submissions. Answers, interview text, emails and invitation codes are excluded from those events. Respondent pages do not use session recording or automatic interaction capture.
Creator and marketing pages use optional PostHog cookies or browser storage for page views and interactions only after you allow analytics. The choice lasts for up to 180 days on this browser and can be changed below. Declining does not affect access to Askhole. Session recording and heatmaps are disabled.
You haven’t chosen optional analytics on this browser.
Keeping and deleting data
Creator-owned forms and responses remain until the creator deletes them or their account. Settings offers account download and deletion, and erasure of responses, invitations and interviews linked to a respondent email across the creator’s forms. Individual response deletion handles anonymous responses. Monthly consumption is not refunded by deletion.
Deletion immediately stops access to the selected data; stored-data cleanup runs in batches and can need continuation from Settings. A pending job is not a confirmation that every stored copy is gone. Downloaded copies and delivered emails cannot be recalled.
Inactive interviews become unavailable after seven days; submitted interview text becomes unavailable thirty days after submission. Automatic physical cleanup of transcripts and old usage records is not enabled yet, so expiry does not guarantee that the stored record has already been erased.
Minimal request fingerprints remain while a form exists to prevent an old send recreating an erased response. Account deletion preserves service-wide consumption and cost totals without account, form or email identifiers.
Requests and complaints
You can ask about access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection by emailing support@askhole.app. We may need to verify the request and identify the form; the rights that apply depend on the processing. Start with the form creator for their use of your answers.
If you remain concerned, you can contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. For service help or to report an abusive form, see Contact.
